Wild Medicine Walk - Card Lake

  • Card Lake Provincial Park (map)

Note: This herb walk is part of a two part series in different locations on May 13th and June 24th. Register for both and receive a discount. You can view the other walk here.

Join clinical herbalist Oren Hercz (RHP) to learn how the wild plants growing around us can be used as medicine. During our walk, we'll explore the identification, medicinal properties, and preparation of many common "weeds" and wildflowers we pass by every day. Oren will share practical knowledge based on his 20+ years’ experience in gathering, preparing, and using herbal medicine both at home and in clinical practice. Participants will gain usable knowledge they can implement right away to help maintain and restore health. At the end of our medicinal plant walk, the conversation will continue around a pot of wild medicine tea that we will brew together. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Wear outdoor wear, good shoes, hat, etc. and bring a mug for tea.
