Wild Medicine Walk - Card Lake (with Oren)

  • Card Lake Provincial Park (map)

Note: This herb walk is part of a two part series in different locations on May 10th and June 8th. Register for both and receive a discount. You can view the other walk here.

Join clinical herbalist Oren Hercz (RHP) for a guided walk exploring how the wild plants growing around us can be used as medicine. During our walk, we’ll cover plant identification, medicinal properties, and simple methods for preparing herbal remedies from many common plants we pass by every day.

Oren will share practical knowledge drawn from over 20 years of experience gathering, preparing, and using herbal medicine both at home and in clinical practice. Participants will gain practical, usable knowledge they can begin applying right away to help maintain and restore health.

At the end of our medicinal plant walk, we’ll gather to brew and share a pot of wild medicine tea together.

Participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear, bring a mug for tea, and come prepared to spend time outside.

Connect with the earth. Connect with your community. Gain practical tools for natural self-care.

This walk is offered through the Chester Municipality recreation programming.

Cost: $30
